New WWE NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley recently spoke with Pro Wrestling Sheet and discussed how it feel to win the championship and celebrate at the end of the show. Here are some highlights of the interview.
First, Ripley said she’s very excited after defeating Shayna Baszler in the main event of NXT. “‘I am excited and I am happy that it’s all done and it’s all accomplished, and we did it,” said Ripley via Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet. “We main evented NXT on USA Network and I did pull of a victory over Shayna Baszler. So I am excited about that.'”
Then, Ripley discussed her triumphant celebration at the end of the show. “Being in there and having everyone around me jumping while I’m on their shoulders, it felt like I was in a mosh pit,” said Ripley via Satin. “‘Which is like my home. Where I know I belong….To be able to get that same feeling in wrestling and to become the NXT Women’s Champion, and to have everyone out there with me to make it feel like a mosh pit, I felt right at home. It was amazing… it felt like I was crowd surfing, it was just absolutely amazing. I was in my element, man.'”
