WZ Roundup: ROH Recalls Holidays Of Old, Robert Stone Picks Up A New Hobby

It’s the Friday before Christmas, and the wrestling world is grinding to a halt. Or at least, as much as it can. Shows will still premiere even if the matches are pretaped, and social media will ensure that some announcements and events manage to sneak through. For now, we’ve got a few fun things to take in while we all wait for Santa to arrive.

Starting things off, Ring of Honor recently posted a throwback to 2017’s holiday season, featuring a 10 Man Tag match featuring plenty of stars that have moved on from the promotion. It’s really striking to see just how different the landscape of ROH is right now compared to just two short years ago.

Over on the WWE Performance Center channel, NXT star Kayden Carter takes Robert Stone line dancing in the latest episode of What’s Your Hobbie with Robbie? Stone grimaces his way through the dancing on his way to earning a cowboy hat.

Speaking of out-of-ring action, Cody posted a quick reaction to the big movie of the moment. I can joke all day that it was Cats, and Cody doesn’t specifically say what he’s referring to, but it’s probably a safe bet that it’s the latest Star Wars picture instead.

Back to the ring, WWE recently compiled every WWE title change that occurred on Raw and Smackdown into one handy video compilation. True, it ends with a whimper from earlier this year, but it’s still an interesting refresher of history.

Earlier this month, NXT held an all-women’s live event in Jacksonville, Florida. WWE posted a “backstage pass” from the event, including comments from Deonna Purrazzo, Shotzi Blackheart and Mia Yim about the opportunity.

Finally, just in time for the holidays, TNT put together a new commercial for AEW that features All Elite wrestlers talking about Christmas. Except for MJF that is, who celebrates Hanukkah and questions why he’s even involved in the ad. His footage aired anyway and he expressed his disgust on Twitter.

Happy Holidays to everyone, even MJF!R
