NXT Championship Match: Adam Cole (c) vs. Finn Bálor
Bálor locks Cole in a side headlock. Cole escapes but Bálor almost lands a double foot stomp. Cole attempts a sunset flip but Bálor rolls through and hits a basement dropkick. Bálor lights Cole up with chop after chop. Bálor dumps Cole to the outside. Cole superkicks Bálor in the knee before Bálor launches a PK off the apron. Neckbreaker by Cole. Cole stomps Bálor in the corner. Cole works a rear chin lock. Bálor gets to his feet. Cole kicks Bálor in the knee again to stop Bálor’s flurry. Bálor surprises Cole with the final cut. Cole kicks out. Cole escapes Bálor’s side headlock and blasts him with a backstabber. Bálor responds with the sling blade. Bálor charges in for the shotgun dropkick. Cole cuts Bálor off with a superkick for a near fall. Cole and Bálor trade strikes.
Bálor drops Cole with the Pelé kick but Cole happens to fall on top of Bálor. Bálor kicks out at 2.5. Cole sets up the Panama Sunrise. Bálor reverses it into the 1916 but before Bálor can land the DDT, Cole counters into the Ushigorshi. Bálor double legs Cole and sticks the double stop. Shotgun dropkick by Bálor. Bálor goes up top. Cole knocks Bálor off the top with a big boot. Bálor falls to the outside. Cole tries the Panama Sunrise outside the ring. Bálor reverses it into a back body drop. Bálor dropkicks Cole into the barricade. Bálor tosses Cole back in the ring. Bálor misses the Coup de Grâs and hurts his knee even more in the process. Cole finally lands the Last Shot. Bálor kicks out. Cole calls for another Last Shot. Bálor avoids it and hits another shotgun dropkick. Bálor hits the Coup de Grâs. Bálor picks up Cole for the 1916. Johnny Gargano walks out on the stage. Cole low blows Bálor. Cole hits another Last Shot for the win.
Winner and STILL NXT Champion, Adam Cole!
After the match, Gargano beats Bálor with a steel chair.
