In-Ring Segment: R-Truth
Truth says the only reason he is in the WWE is because of his childhood hero, John Cena. Truth is going to follow in Cena’s footsteps by winning the United States Championship. Truth is going to take the 24/7 and US Titles all the way to WrestleMania. Truth points but there is no WrestleMania sign hanging there.
United States Championship Number One Contender Gauntlet Match: R-Truth vs. Akira Tozawa vs. Humberto Carrillo vs. Andrade vs. Matt Hardy vs. Ricochet
Tozawa is up first. After a brief back and forth, Tozawa rolls up Truth for the pinfall.
R-Truth has been eliminated
Ricochet is up next. Ricochet lands a ripcord Recoil for the pinfall.
Akira Tozawa has been eliminated
Matt Hardy is next. Ricochet pins Hardy after reversing the Twist of Fate into a schoolboy.
Matt Hardy has been eliminated
Humberto Carrillo is next. Halfway through the match, Zelina Vega walks out on the stage. Carrillo tries a poison off the top but Ricochet lands on his feet. Carrillo lands a sunset piledriver followed by a moonsault for the pin.
Ricochet has been eliminated.
Andrade attacks Carrillo from behind. Andrade lands his patented corner double knee strike. Andrade dumps Carrillo out of the ring. Andrade pulls the protective mat off of the floor. Andrade Hammerlock DDTs Carrillo on the concrete. Rey Mysterio walks out on the stage. Andrade and Vega leave through the crowd.
