It appears that Mauro Ranallo will not be calling tonight’s episode of NXT as the show returns to Full Sail University for it’s return to live weekly TV after Survivor Series weekend.
According to John Pollack of POST Wrestling, Mauro will not be on-hand for tonight’s broadcast after Corey Graves wrote Tweets taking digs at Ranallo’s commentary style during this past Saturday’s NXT TakeOver: War Games event. Ranallo was not a part of the Survivor Series commentary team the next night which had it’s share of NXT talent on the card. Michael Cole stated that Ranallo blew out his voice, but Pollack is confirming that this was just a cover for the real reason being Graves’ Tweets. Ranallo suffers from bipolar disorder which can severely effect one’s mood and emotions, making something as simple as doing day-to-day tasks extremely difficult.
On this morning’s episode of WWE After The Bell, Graves did issue an apology that did not address Ranallo directly, saying that his intent was not to disrespect or disparage anyone.
As of right now, it is currently unknown if Ranallo will be back next week.
