  • AJ Styles

The Packaging

Each figure in the set features the new packaging for 2020 with the red/silver/white look, which looks nice and slick! There’s a large image of each superstar on their box followed by the others in the set listed on the back.

Matt Riddle

Matt is more than likely the most sought after in this set as it’s his very first action figure. Mattel did a pretty good job for his first I’d say. His likeness is ok, not the best, but his attire looks decent at least. They did leave off several logos on the shorts but I’m not sure why. It could be just a budget thing or perhaps a copyright issue. Hopefully on his rumored Elite his attire will be fully decked out. And of course you can’t forget his bare feet with his ankle tattoo, not to mention his colorful mushroom tattoo on his side.

Overall, Matt is pretty good. It’s decent for his first figure but does lack some details as well as not having the best likeness. Regardless, he will have more figures so if you want to scoop up his rookie figure I recommend this one.

Wrestling Figure Wednesday Episode BONUS: WWE Series 103 - Matt Riddle

Kofi Kingston

Kofi is in his green and orange attire, which is somewhat detailed with his face logos on his legs. He’s rocking what I believe is a new head scan that looks ok, Mattel has such a hard time with his scans and I’m not sure why. This one has ponytails on the back of his head and a cheesy grin on his face. He has his detailed tattoos down his back and on his shoulders as well as an elbow pad on his right arm and black armband on his left.

Overall, this Kofi is ok. It’s not my favorite but it will pair up with the upcoming Battle Pack with Big E and Xavier with the pancakes accessory. Keep an eye out for that review soon. If you like having all the attires of New Day I recommend getting it, otherwise you know Kofi will have many more.

Becky Lynch

Becky looks great. This is her first Basic figure of her in her “The Man” attire with her latest head scan that looks fantastic. She is mean mugging and looks like one tough cookie. Her main release figure is in her black “The Man” shirt with black pants and brown shoes while her chase variant comes in an orange shirt, which is pretty detailed.

Overall, if you’re a fan of Becky I recommend picking this one up as it’s one of her best Basic figures to date, plus it’s in her “The Man” attire, which is great.

Brock Lesnar

Brock looks great, but looks just like all of his other Basic figures as his attire never changes sadly. He has his super detailed tattoos on his chest, shoulders and back of course. He’s mean mugging with his latest head scan, which does look just like him. Not to mention he’s rocking his black gloves, shorts and short boots.

Overall, it’s a nice figure, but if you have his others you really don’t need this one unless you want it for an updated head scan. Up to you if you’re a fan of Lesnar of course.

AJ Styles

AJ’s figure is really nice in my opinion. I really like the black and green attire as it looks really nice. The detail on the figure is nice, too. From the logo on his elbow pad to the green on his gloves to the P1 logos on his tights and boots. He’s super detailed, which is interesting as sometimes they don’t put all the detail on his Basic figures. He also has his chest tattoo, which looks great. He also has his best head scan to date, which is a huge plus.

Overall, it’s a nice figure. All of AJ’s figures pretty much look the same minus the changing outfits. If you are a fan of him I’d say this is another nice to add to the constantly growing AJ collection. It’s definitely one of his better Basic figures.

Overall

Overall, this set is pretty good. I still like Series 102 a bit better but there are some nice figures in this set as well. If you collect Basics or simply want some attires we may never see in Elite form I recommend picking these up, such as completing New Day once the Battle Packs release.
