As originally reported by WWE Network News, WWE Network’s wonderful Hidden Gems section is about to add another small bit of unseen wrestling history. Originally airing as a series of TV specials the week before Survivor Series from 1989-1993, the Showdown events took the place of an episode of Prime Time Wrestling. The 1992 edition of the special, available this week, won’t just be what viewers saw almost 20 years ago.
Instead, after the main show, WWE will include an hour of dark matches taped for the live crowd. There will be no commentary on this footage, which includes two Championship defenses from then WWE Champion Bret Hart, Macho Man wrestling Razor Ramon, and a matchup between Nailz and The Ultimate Warrior. The full match lineup for the special is included below.
