Triple H took part in a conference call with the media on Wednesday to discuss various topics while promoting the next special under the WWE NXT banner, TakeOver: WarGames III.
During the call, Triple H was asked about the rumor that WWE had discussed the idea of him being part of the Team NXT for the Men’s Traditional Elimination Tag Team Match at Survivor Series. As of this writing, no members of the team have yet to be announced.
According to “The Game,” he has no interest in wrestling at the show or even in NXT for that matter.
“I have no interest in that. Matter of fact, if someone came to me right now and said ‘hey, you should take that spot’ then I would fight that vigorously. I don’t need to be part…NXT is about the youth, the future and the success of a new generation of stars.”
He stated that he’s here to help NXT stars and let them shine on this stage. He talked about how there will be an open slot on Team Ciampa at WarGames and the reveal of that star will be made the day of the show. He said it’s going to be epic and people will be very excited.
