WWE has signed one of the brightest stars on the independent scene. According to Steve Bryant of SoCal UNCENSORED, Jake Atlas has signed a developmental deal with WWE and he’ll begin his time at the Performance Center in January 2020. Atlas won the Southern California Rookie of the Year Award in 2017 and he’s previously served as a brand ambassador for WWE. Bryant writes that Atlas received a lot of buzz after an impressive performance in Pro Wrestling Guerilla’s Battle of Los Angeles Tournament 2019.
Atlas debuted in August 2016 and he’s become increasingly prevalent on the independent wrestling scene. He recently performed for Ring of Honor but reportedly turned down their contract offer.
