It’s week three of SmackDown on FOX. The draft is over, the rosters are set, and it’s a New Day in WWE. In addition to a previously announced six-pack challenge to determine Bayley’s next title challenger, WWE has added a huge tag team match to this Friday’s broadcast.
Announced as a warm-up for Crown Jewel’s “largest Tag Team Turmoil match in history,” we have Big E and Xavier Woods of the New Day teaming up with Heavy Machinery to take on The Revival and the team of Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler.
Ahead of the largest Tag Team Turmoil Match in history at #WWECrownJewel, #SmackDown's premiere tag teams will clash on Friday Night when The #NewDay teams with #HeavyMachinery to take on #TheRevival and @HEELZiggler & @RealRobertRoode.https://t.co/9xcY3NqQpR

Big E responded to the match with all the excitement you could expect from such a blockbuster announcement.
Of all the matches I’ve had in my career, this will be the next one. Thank you for your time. https://t.co/hR9A62HBfQ

Even if this isn’t the most exciting of propositions for Big E, it should give us an idea of the new normal for tag teams on the brand. Plus, who doesn’t love a little Otis on their Friday nights?
