Bully Ray And Mark Henry Think Asuka Could Defeat Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch continues to prove that she is one of the most dominant champions in the WWE right now, but as more superstars come for the title, many are wondering just who might be the right person to take her on. Speaking during Wednesday’s episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open radio, Mark Henry and Bully Ray both suggested that Asuka could be the perfect superstar to take on Lynch, and maybe even beat her.

Speaking to Asuka’s ability as a heel, Bully Ray mentioned that not only will fans enjoy a potential feud between both superstars, but that Asuka has the ability to make Lynch even more sympathetic. “Asuka, I believe, is the heel that can get the right type of heat on Becky Lynch,” he said. “Because paying to see a champion retain their championship is very hard to do in 2019. I think people will pay money to see Becky fight and retain against Asuka, and Asuka is so credible, she hasn’t been credible since the Royal Rumble, but she’s so credible in her physicality and her demeanor, I think she can get the right amount of heat on Becky Lynch, that people will sympathize and get into Becky even more.”

As for Henry, he went back to the original matches between Asuka and Lynch prior to WrestleMania 35, calling Asuka underutilized in the company. “I think that Asuka is…the most underutilized, and not only that, she kind of got lost in the shuffle, she was almost forgotten about,” Henry said.

He also touched on the fact that Lynch did mention that the last time the two superstars fought prior to WrestleMania 35, Asuka gave Lynch a very tough time. Given the fact that Asuka is now beginning to rise in the ranks of the WWE, it might be time to see if she’s ready to take on Lynch for a title, something the fans would no doubt love to see.
