IMPACT Offers Joe Maddon Ringside Seat, Manager’s Position At Bound For Glory

IMPACT is stepping in to give one manager another shot at Glory in Chicago. Joe Maddon, who was recently fired from his position managing the Chicago Cubs after five seasons, is officially invited to Bound for Glory to spectate the 20-person “Call Your Shot” Gauntlet Match. According to the promotion, “Maddon will have a ringside seat for this match, then be asked to offer “managerial tips” to the winner.”

IMPACT President Scott D’Amore had this to say regarding the invitation: “Joe Maddon is legendary in Chicago for his accomplishments in 2016, so IMPACT Wrestling is proud to invite Joe to continue his managerial career in Chicago … on a slightly different field. Every wrestler wants to be the Champion, and who wouldn’t want to have legendary baseball manager Joe Maddon in their corner?”

IMPACT’s Bound For Glory will also have a sports theme in one of its main events, pitting former football star Moose against MMA Legend Ken Shamrock. The event emanates out of Chicago on Sunday, October 20.
