Tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW may well end up being history. Not because of anything that happens on the show, but for what it represents in the history books. With SmackDown moving to FOX and the rosters once again becoming locked into place, all the pieces are in place for a much different WWE landscape going into 2020. This morning, rumors are circulating that this new era will have a different look as well.
According to the always reliable WrestleVotes on Twitter, WWE will be redesigning the entrances for both RAW and SmackDown next week, finally moving us past the standard HD friendly set of the last few years. There’s no word on whether this new set design will also extend to PPVs or if they will resume with more unique entryways.
This coming week of TV is the final week with the current entrance stage. Both RAW & SmackDown are getting an updated, fresh feeling set.

Even more excitingly, WWE will be restoring entrance pyro at the start of each broadcast as well as in wrestler entrances. WWE had nixed the fireworks several years ago for budgetary reasons, but the move to bigger contracts with FOX (and the increased competition in 2019) has given WWE more than enough reason to restore the pyro and ballyhoo to weekly programming. In the opinion of this longtime wrestling fan, it’s a change that’s long overdue.
News I think everyone will enjoy: Pyro returns to weekly television next week. Fireworks will once again be a fixture on WWE TV.
