WWE Issues Statement On WWE Network Outages During NXT; Triple H Comments

WWE issued the following statement in response to the problems some fans had logging in to WWE Network, which caused them to miss part of NXT’s second hour:

You may have experienced a technical issue with WWE Network earlier this evening. The matter has been resolved, and you can now access the Network and watch tonight’s episode of NXT on demand. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Last night as the NXT on USA broadcast ended, the show switched to WWE Network, but a number of fans weren’t able to log in for the show. Triple H was asked if he was made aware of the issue during the post-show media call, and he said it wasn’t as widespread as people might think, and they’ll be sure to fix it so it doesn’t happen again. He also noted that the good thing about this problem is fans could still log on and see the archived show on WWE Network.

“I heard about it. I don’t believe—from my understanding of what I’ve heard, I don’t believe it was a massive, widespread thing. Bad news travels fast, but I don’t believe it was as big as it was put out there to be. I think there was a select grouping of people that couldn’t log in, to my understanding. The great thing is with the WWE Network, once the issue was addressed and fixed, they could log right in and you can go back and watch it right now on demand and you can watch it whenever you want. It’s sitting right there. With the platform comes little glitches and issues. I know they’re in the process of figuring it all out and hopefully it’s something that’ll never happen again. For our fan base that was there watching it, they can go back and watch it right now.”
