As reported by provided by PWInsider, RAW star Drew McIntyre will not be appearing for the second week in a row on RAW. This is due to minor surgery meant to alleviate a lingering injury from WWE’s recent tour of Mexico. WWE sees the current product as less important than October, where they’ll have both competition from AEW and the premiere of SmackDown on FOX.
With all that and the inevitable build towards WrestleMania, WWE hopes to ensure that Drew is set to feature heavily in the months to come. As of now, Drew is said to be healed up and ready, and he could return as soon as next week’s tapings. Drew McIntyre was last seen in the King of the Ring Tournament, where he lost to Ricochet in an upset.
