Killer Kross recently spoke with Kevin Kellam for Wrestlezone and talked about all of the high-profile matches he’s been having recently, as well as his match with Darby Allin tonight for Maverick Pro Wrestling. Kross says Allin is someone that has really been able to set himself apart, but he can also see the similarities in how they’ve both been able to draw in the audience creatively.
“That’s what makes it fun and entertaining and exciting to watch. There’s nobody like him in the business today. Arguably, there’s never really been anybody like him.” Kross said. “Just the way he carries himself, the way he speaks. He has a very different, new mind for the business. It’s actually really refreshing to see. I feel like, not that he and I are the same, but I feel like we have a lot of similar parallels of how we perceive things and how we want to project things differently to the audience to keep them entertained. Creative variances that make people feel like that they’re watching something they haven’t seen before. I love that about it and I’m definitely looking forward to getting in the ring with him.”
While Kross has been staying busy on the independent scene, he says family is a focus outside of the ring. Kross says he’s really been embracing the simple things, and tries a variety of hobbies to turn his brain off when he does get the rare chance to unwind off of the road.
“Over the past few months, I’ve been doing my due diligence to spend more time with family. I’ve been resetting and decompressing with family as often as I can. Other than that, I really like hiking, I like shooting, I like training and I like eating. I’m a simple man.” Kross said. “I like to refer to myself as a minimalist, I don’t need a lot to be happy. I just kind of embrace the simplicities of life. They have a different sort of meaningfulness to me being so busy, I feel like those things I get a lot of solace in and get tranquility from mean a lot more to me because I don’t get a lot of free access to them. I just really keep it simple.”
