Britt Baker On Her Mindset Going Into The Casino Battle Royale, Tenille Dashwood’s IMPACT Status

Britt Baker spoke with the media at Starrcast III in Chicago and talked about her feelings heading into the Casino Battle Royale at All Out tonight.

“I think the nature of the game, the Casino Battle Royale already stands out. There’s a lot of rules and beautiful chaos, for lack of a better term. As far as standing out, you guys don’t have a huge idea of who’s going to be in the Battle Royale.

Basically, we’re so different because we have contracted women and non-contracted women. It’s a beautiful mix of both of them, so we have some of the best wrestlers in the world, but you guys really have no idea who’s coming out. So I think that’s really going to set the bar, the pure excitement and the amazing wrestlers on top of it.”

When asked about all of the non-contracted talent who we might see in the match tonight, Baker said she’s looking forward to mixing it up with Ivelisse and Big Swole, who have been announced for the match, as well as another rumored name.

“I don’t think she’s officially under contract, but I love Tenille [Dashwood]. I know she’s working with IMPACT, but she’s not officially contracted. Tenille’s a big one. Basically anyone on the Shimmer roster right now, I think they’re all amazing. Big Swole, she’s going to be in the Battle Royale, she’s amazing as well. Ivelisse is a big one to keep an eye on because she’s fantastic. I don’t know if you guys have seen her but wow, she’s an amazing wrestler.”

It’s worth noting Dashwood’s status since her name came up in a report this week from Sports Illustrated, where they said she was being discussed as a surprise entrant for the match due to a talent exchange with IMPACT Wrestling. Baker’s comments about Dashwood’s status are also interesting, since Wrestlezone also reported Dashwood is only signed to work with IMPACT through Bound For Glory weekend in October.

Update: Fightful has also independently confirmed Dashwood is only signed with IMPACT through October, noting that they were told she’s on a “nightly” working deal with the company through October.
