It was previously announced that Santino Marella would be appearing at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport II event as a special guest judge, but it’s now been revealed that he’ll actually be taking on someone in the ring as well. Josh Barnett announced the first official matchup for the event yesterday, and it’s none other than Marella – now going by Anthony Carelli – taking on Simon Grimm. Although Marella seems to have done the occasional wrestling match ever since stepping away due to a neck injury, the superstar still hasn’t wrestled too much, so it’ll be interesting to see how well he fairs.
Barnett also announced what the first female match in Bloodsport would be, and revealed that it’s a big one. Allysin Kay and Nicole Savoy will be taking each other on in a match that pits two titans of their divisions against each other, and surely this is one that fans aren’t going to want to miss.
