Jerry Lawler Turns Down Match Against Orange Cassidy

As reported by The Wrestling Observer newsletter, Jerry Lawler recently turned down an opportunity to go up against new AEW signee Orange Cassidy at an independent show for Game Changer Wrestling. Lawler is said to be “shocked” that Cassidy got a deal with the new promotion. He will still be performing at the show, which takes place in Chicago over All Out weekend. According to the Observer, his scheduled opponent will instead be Mance Warner.

Kavita Devi Injury Update

One of WWE’s signees from the first Mae Young Classic tournament recently went under the knife to repair a torn ACL. Kavita Devi hasn’t made many appearances on WWE TV as of yet, although she did show up in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royale in 2018. She also appeared at NXT live events and in the second Mae Young Classic, losing to Kaitlyn in the first round. According to the Observer, recovering from her torn ACL could see the Indian superstar out of action for six to nine months.
