WWE SmackDown Women’s Champions Bayley recently did an interview with talkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy where she spoke about a wide range of topics.
In this interview, she was asked about her reign as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Sasha Banks. The popular WWE stars became the inaugural champions at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event.
Banks and Bayley dropped the titles at WrestleMania 35 to The IIconics (Billie Kay & Peyton Royce).
The SmackDown Women’s Champion noted that she had wished she and Banks would’ve been given more of a chance as the champions. She also hopes that WWE will give Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross that opportunity with their current reigns.
“I just wish they were more,” Bayley started. “And that was our goal, to try and bring them to life and everything and we didn’t really get a chance to do what we wanted with it. But, we thought the IIconics would have a chance and then they kind of didn’t.
“So I just see so much potential in the tag titles and I still haven’t given up on them. If it’s Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss who actually get time to grow the titles, then I’m happy with that. As long as they get out there and they’re represented how they should be, I’ll be happy.”
