On today’s episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, Mark Henry discussed how much he’s been enjoying the feud between Natalya and Becky Lynch. He said it’s the best Natalya has looked in a long time and that is due to both performers bringing the best out of each other going into SummerSlam.
“Becky drove her to that,” explained Henry. “The anger and frustration, the fact that she’s becoming like a heel to Natalya. The only thing Natalya could do is lash out. She lost control of herself because of Becky. You can look at it like this too, that Becky brought it out of her. Would she be in this situation if it wasn’t for Becky? So, thank you Becky for bringing that out of me.”
While Henry has high praise for Lynch, he does have one thing he’d like to see done differently and that’s her overall character motivations. “We work for the reaction and we work for emotion,” said Henry. “She’s been able to do both very well. There’s no argument there, but I do say from a standpoint of the fan, it’s confusing sometimes. I want her to be the champion of the people rather than the champion for herself.”
