Info On How Many Shows AEW Will Run Per Year, How Often Top Talent Will Work

With All Elite Wrestling finally announcing its official television start date on TNT in October, we’re starting to get a good grasp of how the company will be structured going forward. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there will be more shows than many may have expected considering they aren’t doing house shows initially and will only have television once per week.

It’s said that AEW’s goal is to run over 100 shows per year and even as high as 120. Four of these shows will be pay-per-view events, while 51 will be live television. It’s said that they will begin to have Saturday night house shows in the future, which will make up for the remaining shows.

As far as top talent goes, they are expected to work around 75 matches per year inside the promotion. They believe that will allow them to keep their in-ring ability at a high level while also giving them ample time to rest up and stay healthy throughout the year.
