Bully Ray: RAW Reunion Toast Should Have Involved Current Roster

This week’s RAW Reunion ended with a nice moment featuring Steve Austin bringing a variety of veteran WWE superstars to the ring for a toast. While the fans seemed to love the moment, former WWE superstar Bully Ray thinks the moment would have been better if the current roster was included.

Speaking during a segment on SiriusXM’s Busted Open radio, Bully Ray said the only person he thinks was put in a position to succeed on Monday was Bray Wyatt. “I think they put Bray Wyatt in a position to succeed on Monday,” he said. “I don’t know how many others were put in a position to succeed with the use of those veterans, and let’s take everything that I’ve said and throw it out the window.”

Bully Ray also wondered why the finale of the reunion couldn’t have included more of the current roster, to celebrate the history of RAW. “Tell me why we couldn’t get RAW going off the air with Steve Austin and all of the current RAW roster in the ring with Steve Austin, and all of the veterans on the floor drinking with them,” he said. “Why couldn’t we get Steve Austin saying ‘It’s great to have my Attitude Era family out here, the WWE slogan is then, now, and forever. We represent the ‘then,’ I wanna drink with the ‘now’ so we can all live forever.’ Why couldn’t Steve invite the entire locker room out? Because that would have been an immense passing of the torch, or at least a massive rub. Steve drinking with Seth, Steve drinking with Roman, Steve drinking with all of the current roster while the veterans hung out on the floor.”

Taking to social media to respond, Steve Austin actually said he agreed with Bully Ray, calling the idea a good one.
