According to Dave Meltzer with The Wrestling Observer, ticket sales for WWE RAW & SmackDown at Madison Square Garden in September have been lackluster so far. Internally it is being seen as a disappointment and reports indicate that neither show is close to being sold out yet.
RAW was expected to be an instant sellout due to it being the first RAW at MSG since 2009. One of the main reasons speculated as to why it is not sold out is the high pricing put in place and the lack of interest from scalpers. It should be noted that NJPW/ROH G1 Supercard sold out MSG in just over 15 minutes.
Lucha Libre will also be in action at MSG just 1 week after WWE visits this September. What are your thoughts on the early reports of disappointing ticket sales? Let us know in the comments below.
