After BOOM! Studios announced that a graphic novel would be coming starring the New Day with the help of Kofi Kingston, the WWE Champion was asked about what it was like participating at Comic-Con, and what his thoughts are on getting to star in a graphic novel.
“It’s amazing, and I’ve been such a big fan of BOOM! for so long … so now, the fact that New Day is getting their own graphic novel, is just … I’m satisfied,” he said. When asked about what it means for someone like Kingston – who is a huge fan of things like graphic novels and comics – to star in his own, he continued to describe it all as a dream come true. “As a kid, I just enjoyed all these things, now as an adult I get to be in all of these things and enjoy it that much more. So, It is literally the coolest thing in the world, and it’s awesome to feel like a kid in a candy store living out his fantasy.”
Needless to say, Kingston seems to genuinely love the Comic-Con environment, and has a generally great attitude when it comes to appearing in a variety of things. With the WWE Champion looking to keep his title for some time, Kingston should have plenty of heroic stories to tell in the future.
