Paul Heyman Wants To Change The Way Backstage Interviews Are Done On RAW

According to a report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, new Monday Night RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman wants to change the way backstage promos are done. Heyman wants them to have “less of the fake dialogue” and come across more realistic. There will also be more consequences, with the report including a comparison to AEW’s promise for wins and losses to matter more, and angles won’t be forgotten or dropped.

Also, if someone is injured in storyline, they won’t just return fine the next week. This has been a longtime complaint from WWE talent, who want to sell the beating from a big match the next night on RAW. Vince would allow mid-card guys to do so, but not top stars because he believes them to look weak.
