Hell Comes To Frogtown Comes To Blu-Ray
One of the most infamous wrestling-adjacent films is coming to Blu-Ray in the United States for the first time. Roddy Piper’s stars as the last hope for humanity in a post-apocalyptic mutant wasteland in Hell Comes To Frogtown. Releasing on August 27, the home video release features the first 4K restoration of the film as well as commentary from the writer and director and a video interview with Roddy Piper.

Answering a fan question on Twitter, the former Dudley Boy reveals the moment when he came up with the Dudley Death Drop. It involved watching a match between Rey Mysterio and Dean Malenko in 1996, and he and his brother D-Von would be performing the move on ECW’s roster just months later.
I came up w/ the idea for the Bubba Cutter and 3D in early ‘96 after seeing Malenko hit Mysterio w/ a pop up pancake face bump.
