At WWE Extreme Rules, the New Day won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships and Daniel Bryan, the reigning champion, was pinned in the match. Afterwards, Bryan discussed the loss in an video uploaded to WWE’s YouTube channel. “I failed,” said Bryan. “I don’t think it was me that failed. I think, in pursuing this excellence, they brought me down to mediocrity. If I want to change the planet, if I want to save the planet, I have to aim higher.”
Becky Lynch Supports Seth Rollins After He Loses The Universal Title
Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch defeated Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans in the main event of WWE Extreme Rules. But Brock Lesnar ruined the mood when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and beat Rollins for the Universal Championship. Afterwards, in video uploaded to WWE’s YouTube channel, Lynch comforted Rollins. Rollins told Lynch he let everyone down and Lynch tried to comfort him.
