CazXL Describes His Depression, Suffering a Seizure After WWE Firing

In a video posted to DDPYoga’s YouTube page, CazXL (fka Big Cass) spoke openly about his depression during his WWE run and beyond. “TVs were the worst for me because of anxiety. I’d always had it and it kind of ramped up after the debut.” Caz stated that he did not seek help for his problems and self-medicated with alcohol. This led to nights filled with little sleep, plenty of booze, and suicidal thoughts.

After one of those nights, Caz had the match with Enzo that put him on the shelf with a torn ACL. This was a turning point, as Caz stated that he was an emotional wreck and had no one to turn to. “The amount I was drinking was ridiculous, the food I was putting in my body was ridiculous, no physical activity, chain-smoking cigarettes. I don’t know how I’m alive right now.” Because of the situation, Caz understands why WWE gave him the boot.

In the rest of the video, Caz describes staying up for 48 hours before the House of Hardcore event where he suffered a seizure, as well as the person who took him in and got him back on the right track.
