ECWA’s Future In Question, Mojo Rawley Speaks To Saudi Arabian Media

ECWA’s Future In Question

It looks like the East Coast Wrestling Association, which was founded back in 1967 by Jim Kettner, is in a bit of a difficult spot. Mike Tartaglia and Joe Zanolle purchased the promotion from Kettner back in 2010 and have run it ever since. The promotion is better known for its annual Super 8 tournament, which was won by Lance Anoa’i in April this year:

Tartaglia, who worked under the name “Mike Bruno” for the Tri‐State Wrestling Alliance in the 1990s, took to his personal Facebook page and noted that he no longer has the time to dedicate to running ECWA. As a result, the promotion’s upcoming June 15 show has been canceled, and all future shows are postponed.

The following was posted on both Tartaglia’s personal Facebook, as well as ECWA’s Facebook page:

Unfortunately the ECWA show for next Saturday June 15 is cancelled. All further shows are also postponed. I no longer have the time to dedicate to running the ECWA. I have a full time business that I am dedicating 90 percent of my time to. I won’t say ECWA is closing up for good but for now ECWA will be on a brief haitus. When I can dedicate more time to running shows and promoting, ECWA will be back. Hopefully in the future I will have more people to help in promoting ECWA. I want to Thank everyone who supported ECWA in the past and hopefully you will continue supporting ECWA in the future. ECWA is the longest independent professional wrestling promotion around and will continue to make more stars. Any questions or comments please message me directly!
