Jon Moxley Paid Tribute To Dusty Rhodes In Prison Break Video

Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin recently interviewed Nick Mondo on his Pro Wrestling Sheet podcast to discuss the Jon Moxley prison break video that he directed.

Mondo pointed out that there wasn’t as much symbolism in the video as many people made there out to be. However, one thing specifically requested by Moxley was to film himself in the Viper Room in honor of the late Dusty Rhodes, who was a mentor to the former WWE star:

“That was a specific request from Jon, that we shoot there. And we were like, ‘Okay, we’ll do it.’ But, Dusty Rhodes was a bit of a mentor to him. And there was a point in time where he, I guess, pitched a vision to [Jon] to boost his confidence and give him, like, a character. And part of that vision was him standing outside the Viper Room in a leather jacket—maybe he can tell that story someday. But yeah, it was very entertaining. It meant a lot to him that we – it was just to see his dream realized.”
