Daniel Bryan and Rowan Defeat The Usos To Become SmackDown Tag Team Champs

Despite his attack on Roman Reigns and brawl with the Miz during last night’s Monday Night RAW, Shane McMahon still made his way out to the SmackDown Live ring during tonight’s episode to introduce the duo that would become the newest SmackDown Tag Team Champions. In a surprise twist, McMahon introduced Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan as the newest tag team champions.

Before the trio could celebrate their achievement, however, another surprise duo came to the ring in the form of the Usos. Although the Usos are on the RAW brand now, they still made their way out to the ring to say that Bryan and Rowan couldn’t simply be given the title, since they hadn’t earned it. Because of that, the Usos challenged the pair to a match that would decide the newest SmackDown tag team champions.

For most of the match, both teams were incredibly evenly matched, with Bryan and Rowan and the Usos going back-and-forth for a majority of the bout. Midway through, the Usos looked to finally pull ahead, and even began delivering a ridiculous amount of superkicks to both Rowan and Bryan. Unfortunately for the RAW tag team, Rowan and Bryan proved to be too deserving for the belt, and Rowan specifically was too much of a force for anyone. After surviving a couple of kicks to the head, Rowan was able to counter an attempt and drop his opponent, proving that he and Bryan are more than deserving of the belts.
