Dave Meltzer reported via his latest Observer Newsletter that WWE will limit the amount of diving headbutts that Lars Sullivan will be permitted to do.
According to Meltzer, Sullivan will only use the diving headbutt on special occasions and will use the Freak Accident and a running sit-out powerbomb as his primary maneuvers of destruction. The move created by Harley Race has not been banned by WWE, although Race has stated in the past that he wish he never used the move.
Chris Benoit, Bam Bam Bigelow and Daniel Bryan have both used the move in the past and Meltzer says it been believed that’s Benoit’s consistent use of the move was the reason why he needed neck surgery.
