While Luke Harper isn’t being granted his release by WWE, he also hasn’t been used on the main roster since he became healthy. According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are several reasons why McMahon isn’t interested in using Harper. One of the issues is that Harper couldn’t perform a “southern accent,” which is something McMahon originally wanted him to do four years ago. In addition, McMahon didn’t like the dark match that was done against EC3 and Drake Maverick.
It doesn’t look the relationship will be repaired anytime soon and McMahon even told Harper in writing that he won’t be receiving a release.
