Full Breakdown of Best of Super Juniors Competitors
NJPW announced the full lineup for the 26th Best of Super Juniors tournament. At 20 participants, it is the largest lineup in the tournament’s history. Here is a full breakdown of the competitors:
- Yoshinobu Kanemaru enters his 3rd Best of Super Juniors.
- Ryusuke Taguchi enters his 16th Best of Super Juniors. The former-IWGP Jr. Heavyweight IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team champion, and current NEVER 6-Man Tag Team Champion, won the 2012 Best of Super Jr.’s tournament.
- Tiger Mask IV enters his 18th Best of Super Juniors. He was supposed to compete in the 2010 tournament, but withdrew. The legendary Junior Heavyweight has won the 2004 & 2005 tournaments.
- Rocky Romero enters his 12th Best of Super Juniors, after a 2 year sabbatical. He has wrestled in the tournament as both Rocky Romero and Black Tiger IV.
- TAKA Michinoku enters his 11th Best of Super Juniors.
- El Desperado enters his 3rd Best of Super Juniors.
- BUSHI enters his 7th Best of Super Juniors.
- Taiji Ishimori enters his 3rd Best of Super Juniors.
- Shingo Takagi makes his Best of Super Juniors debut.
- Marty Scurll enters his 3rd Best of Super Juniors.
- Will Ospreay enters his 4th Best of Super Juniors. The former-IWGP Jr. Heavyweigt Champion won the 2016 tournament.
- IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Dragon Lee enters his 3rd Best of Super Juniors.
- Flip Gordon enters his 2nd Best of Super Juniors.
- Sho enters his 2nd Best of Super Juniors.
- Yoh enters his 4th Best of Super Juniors.
- Jonathan Gresham makes his Best of Super Juniors debut.
- Titan makes his Best of Super Juniors debut.
- Robbie Eagles makes his Best of Super Juniors debut.
- Bandido makes his Best of Super Juniors debut.
- El Phantasmo makes his Best of Super Juniors debut.
