WWE Files New Trademarks for “RKO”

According to a recent post by Pro Wrestling Insider, the WWE has reportedly filed new trademark applications for the term “RKO” at the end of March. Of course, the RKO and its many uses have become extremely popular as of late, especially on the internet, so it wouldn’t be too shocking to see the WWE want to tighten up its ownership over the term.

For those that weren’t around for Triple H’s not too subtle shots at All Elite Wrestling during the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame induction, you’ll have to find them elsewhere. The obvious shots at the rival wrestling brand has been edited out of the VOD replay of the event on WWE Network, according to Pro Wrestling insider. The comments themselves were fairly tame, but it isn’t very surprising to see the WWE scrubbing them from re-airing.
