A video package recaps why Jonathan Gresham will face Silas Young later in this show. (Young attacked Gresham at ROH 17th Anniversary.)
In a pretaped segment, the Briscoes promised to qualify for the Crockett Cup. They’ll face Jeff Cobb and Willie Mack in a qualifying match next week on ROH Wrestling.
Silas Young vs. Jonathan Gresham
The two competitors locked up and felt each other out with a number of counters. Both wrestlers raked each other in the eyes and Young overpowered Gresham. Young and Gresham exchanged chops outside the ring and almost got themselves counted out. Gresham took Young down with a plancha.
Young slowed the pace and grounded Gresham. The Last Real Man continued to overpower the Octopus. Gresham dropped Young with a DDT and gave himself a chance to recover. A hard dropkick to the face firmly shifted the momentum to Gresham’s side. The two men exchanged several pin attempts. Gresham kicked out of an Anarchist Suplex. The Octopus continued to persevere and he refused to quit. He hit three Knockout Blows to nearly put Young away. Young knocked Gresham into the referee and the Last Real Man hit a roll blow on Gresham. Young rolled him up to win.
Winner: Silas Young
