Becky Lynch Says Charlotte Flair Will Always Get The Big Matches, Her ‘The Man’ Nickname Blowing People’s Minds

2019 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble winner Becky Lynch spoke to Fan Byte to promote this weekend’s WrestleMania 35 event in New Jersey.

Lynch will be involved in the first-ever women’s match to main event a WrestleMania. She’ll challenge RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in a Winner Takes All bout. “The Man” talked about Charlotte Flair and why she will always get the big matches in WWE, and also how her “The Man” nickname blows some people’s minds.

The highlights can be found below:

Charlotte Flair:

There’s folks here that are grinding and scratching and clawing, but she’s always gonna get it, always gonna get the big matches, the press opportunities, the things that I have begged for years,” Lynch said. “And of course she was fine with me being in the background and me not getting all those things, and then when I broke out, when I said enough is enough, then she had a huge problem with it, and then everything changed.

Her “The Man” nickname:

[It] makes people’s minds explode. Which is hilarious…” Lynch said. “It does get a few people backed up, which is good in itself. [But] it’s not about gender and it’s not about belittling women. I’ve been an advocate for women’s wrestling since I started. I’ve always wanted to change the game, that’s what I’ve been trying to do, and that’s what I’ve been doing.”
