Kurt Angle’s farewell tour continued with another match on Monday Night RAW. This week, the WWE Hall of Famer faced United States Champion Samoa Joe. The two competitors had a storied rivalry in TNA but their paths haven’t crossed much in their WWE careers. Before the match, Joe said he won’t let Angle ride off into the sunset. Instead, the Samoan Submission Machine vowed to put Angle to sleep one last time.

Joe repeatedly manhandled Angle but the Olympic Gold Medalist nearly pinned the champion with an Angle Slam. Angle briefly found himself locked in the Coquina Clutch but he used the hold to pin Joe and win the match. The Hall of Famer continues to gain momentum on the road to his WrestleMania match with Baron Corbin. Angle hopes to continue his hot streak tomorrow on SmackDown when he faces AJ Styles.
