The show begins with the MLW World Tag Team Champions Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Teddy Hart arriving at the stadium. The Chicago Police are arresting Hart as a response to MJF’s report that Hart vandalized his automobile. The supposedly guilty party hands his cash and jewelry to Smith and threatens to hurt MJF before he surrenders to the police. Smith restrains Brian Pillman Jr., who tries to go after Hart. MJF and Richard Holliday argue with Pillman and Smith.
Myron Reed vs Gringo Loco
Color commentator Jim Cornette describes why Reed is part of the “Free Swan” movement. A video recap shows the actions that caused MLW to suspend Rich Swann. Despite Loco’s size, he matches Reed’s fast-paced athleticism with several athletic sequences to begin the match. Reed rolls into a sitout powerbomb before Reed nails an impressive Spanish Fly.

Loco lands all of a somersault plancha but Reed drops him right on his head with a Frankensteiner off the top. A springboard 450 splash isn’t enough to give Reed the victory. But a springboard cutter followed by a corkscrew splash earns Loco the pinfall.
Winner: Gringo Loco
After the match, Reed argues with the referee and hits him. He and Cornette have a heated exchange before officials escort Reed to the back.
In a backstage interview, Mance Warner describes his game plan for his match with LA Park which includes beer, eye pokes and an exposed knee. He promises to unmask Park.
Matt Striker runs through the Battle Riot II card; he announces Tom Lawlor will defend the MLW World Heavyweight Championship against Jimmy Havoc and lists more participants for the titular match.
In a backstage segment, MJF and Richard Holliday share some laughs over Teddy Hart’s return to jail. MJF jokes about putting Hart’s mugshot on a billboard.
A taped message shows Contra Unit (Simon Gotch, Jacob Fatu and Josef Samael) hyping themselves up. They call themselves “the crusaders of nihilistic terror” and declare they seek gold and power. In another video, Ace Romero vows to get revenge against Contra.
