On today’s episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray discussed the recent Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch Twitter feud. He pointed out that it’s great since fans don’t know what’s organic or scripted.
Bully Ray praised how Rousey and Lynch are walking the line between it feeling unscripted. “That’s why I like and don’t mind the road that Ronda is going down here. How long has Becky Lynch been in the wrestling business? 10+ years. She is savvy and knows everything backstage. The things wrestlers should and shouldn’t say in public. She understands the protection of the wrestling business. Now how long has Ronda Rousey been in [martial arts]? 10+ years. She’s had a very brief amount of time in the wrestling business.”
Bully Ray then pulled on his own experience coming up. “When I was in the business as long as Ronda has been, I wasn’t savvy about all the terminology rules and regulations. What we protect and don’t protect. We can assume that Ronda probably knows what a lot of things mean. I think she got so pissed off that Becky put the picture of her husband up there that she threw everything out the window and started using the word fake, her real name. Everyone is reading this and going, ‘Oh my God. Is this real?’ [We don’t know] if it’s real and that’s the beauty of it.”
