Matt Hardy made his in-ring return on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live, teaming with brother Jeff against The Bar.
Matt has not been seen on WWE TV since August 13th, 2018 when he and Bray Wyatt lost a triple threat Tag Team Championship match to The B-Team. Hardy has been seen on WWE live events since then, mainly in tag team matches with Wyatt in September.
Hardy originally announced he was taking time off to heal up, noting his pelvis was fusing with his spine. Despite the rumors he might call it quits, Hardy maintained he was not retired.
The Hardys ended up picking up the win in tonight’s opening contest, earning the pinfall victory after a Swanton Bomb.
