Although she has been regularly featured on RAW, Nikki Cross just might have to hunt SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka down, if she hopes to earn a championship opportunity.
Cross recently tweeted, “Hehe remember this Asuka?!?! Naughty Nikki is looking for a new toy?!? But shhhhhh keep it a secret! Hide and seek!!! Hehe ok I come find you PEEKABOO!” Cross also tweeted a photo of the the pair clashing in an NXT Last Woman Standing Match.

WWE also tweeted the following photo, asking fans which Superstar should be in line for a SmackDown Women’s Championship opportunity. Included in the photo are; Lacey Evans, Naomi, Carmella, Mandy Rose, and Nikki Cross.

Asuka’s WrestleMania 35 opponent was rumored to have been Charlotte Flair, but Flair has since been inserted in the WrestleMania 35 RAW Women’s Championship Match against Ronda Rousey, leading many to speculate on who Asuka’s WrestleMania opponent would be.
Dave Meltzer recently reported that Asuka’s WrestleMania 35 opponent was once slated to be main roster new comer Lacey Evans, but since then plans have changed and that the general consensus is that Asuka does not currently have an opponent.
Nikki Cross turned heel on the February 4th episode of RAW, as she teamed up with Alicia Fox to attack Bayley and Sasha Banks before their Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match. Could the turn be a precursor to a WrestleMania 35 feud with SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka? Readers are encouraged to sound off in the comments section below.
