FIRST MATCH: Ren Narita vs. Marty Scurll
Smooth start to the show. Narita is a bonafide star in the making, Scurll is no slouch. Both men have tremendous chemistry. Definitely worth a look.
Need To Watch Rating: (8.9)
SECOND MATCH: Shota Umino vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
Easily the best match of the night. Much like Scurll and Narita, Umino and Sabre have uncharted chemistry. Seek out this thrilling match, the minute you get the chance.
Need To Watch Rating: (10.0)
THIRD MATCH: Jushin Thunder Liger & Jonathan Gresham vs. Bullet Club (Taiji Ishimori & Robbie Eagles)
Solid tag match. Eagles’s style is clicking a lot better than during Super Jr. tag league. Ishimori and Liger are developing a fun rivalry.
Need To Watch Rating: (7.7)
FOURTH MATCH: Juice Robinson, David Finlay, Tomoaki Honma & Toa Henare vs. Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe
Inessential but fun tag match. Finlay and Robinson are a great tag team. The Tongans & The Briscoes are a fun heel tandem.
Need To Watch Rating: (4.0)
FIFTH MATCH: NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Championship Match: Togi Makabe, Toru Yano & Ryusuke Taguchi (c) vs. Cheeseburger, Delirious & Colt Cabana
Goofy comedy match, disguised as a title match. Never really clicks.
Need To Watch Rating: (1.0)
SIXTH MATCH: NEVER Openweight Championship Match: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Dalton Castle
Both men nearly killed each other multiple times. No chemistry. Kind of a slog of a match.
Need To Watch Rating: (3.5)
SEVENTH MATCH: Ring of Honor World Television Championship Match: Jeff Cobb (c) vs. Hirooki Goto
Pretty standard title match that makes a solid case for Cobb in the G1. Goto is in fine form, as always.
Need To Watch Rating: (8.0)
MAIN EVENT: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kazuchika Okada & Jay Lethal vs. The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia & TK O’Ryan)
Alright, I’ll say it: The Kingdom are not main eventers, and it kept this match from ever feeling main event caliber. It was a good match, but a styles clash.
Need To Watch Rating: (6.5)
