FIRST MATCH: Jushin Thunder Liger & Yuya Uemura vs. Bullet Club (Taiji Ishimori & Robbie Eagles)
Solid opening tag match that showcased Robbie Eagles, upon his return to NJPW. Pretty simple but effective tag match to open the show.
Need To Watch Rating: (1.9)
SECOND MATCH: Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma, Toa Henare & Tiger Mask vs. Satoshi Kojima, Manabu Nakanishi, Ren Narita & Yota Tsuji
Serviceable match that focused on Henare’s odd rivalry with the Young Lions.
Need To Watch Rating: (1.0)
THIRD MATCH: Yuji Nagata & Shota Umino vs. CHAOS (YOSHI-HASHI & Tomohiro Ishii)
Everything involving Nagata and Ishii is magic. The rest is simply fine.
Need To Watch Rating: (1.8)
FOURTH MATCH: Roppongi 3K (SHO & YOH) vs. Suzuki-gun (El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)
Feels like I’ve seen this match too many times to be really hooked by it. Everyone did a very good job, however.
Need To Watch Rating: (3.0)
FIFTH MATCH: Hirooki Goto & Ryusuki Taguchi vs. Suzuki-gun (Zack Sabre Jr. & TAKA Michinoku)
Another very serviceable tag match. Taguchi is back to his goofy ways, Goto is still an ass kicker, Sabre is a prick, TAKA is a little prick.
Need To Watch Rating: (5.0)
SIXTH MATCH: Hiroshi Tanahashi & Will Ospreay vs. Killer Elite Squad (Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr)
Not nearly on the level of past team ups between The Ace & The Aerialist. Davey Boy Smith Jr. is the star of the match. Definitely a fun co-main event.
Need To Watch Rating: (6.2)
MAIN EVENT: Takashi Iizuka Retirement Match: Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Kazuchika Okada & Toru Yano vs. Suzuki-gun (Takashi Iizuka, Taichi & Minoru Suzuki)
Look, you’re either here for this match or not. Every combination of guys is a solid matchup, making for a tag match that’s never dull. It all builds to the heartwrenching post-match shenanigans.
