The Dusty Rhodes Classic is set to return for 2019. At today’s television tapings, the promotion revealed that the yearly tag team tournament is back yet again. Both the first round and semi-finals are being filmed, with the finals presumedly taking place at a later date.
The first confirmed entrants are a surprising team, but not totally shocking if you watched RAW and SmackDown this week. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa have officially reunited in the tournament that brought them together in the first place and they’ll be competing in it.
Quarterfinal matches for the Dusty Rhodes Classic are the following: Moustache Mountain vs. Street Profits, Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch vs. Forgotten Sons, Aleister Black & Ricochet vs. Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel, and #DIY vs. Undisputed Era.
