“The New” Daniel Bryan closed SmackDown Live alongside his new “intellectual peer,” Rowan. Bryan would taunt the crowd, proclaiming them to be the real winners of Royal Rumble as Bryan retained against AJ Styles. Bryan would recognize himself as “The Planet’s Champion” and would drive the point home further by trashing the current WWE Championship belt. Bryan would see the title as unfit and only saw it in the image of a slaughtered cow. He would unveil a new WWE Championship design, made from “100% organic hemp.”

It didn’t take long before AJ Styles would interrupt, teasing Bryan by inferring he smoked his title prototype before unveiling it. This would lead to Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy entering the fold before a commercial break. Mustafa Ali and Samoa Joe would follow suit with all five men laying claim for a WWE Title opportunity. Joe would provoke Styles once again, leading for all five challengers brawling it out with Bryan at ringside.
Triple H would appear on the titantron to announce that at WWE Elimination Chamber, Daniel Bryan will have to defend the WWE Championship against all five men in an Elimination Chamber match. Bryan, stunned by the news, proceeded to run to the back before he was attacked by his subsequent challengers.
