Dave Meltzer reported on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Matt Sydal officially became a free agent on January 1st of this year. Sydal tweeted out a few weeks ago that his recent knee surgery was successful and that he would be cleared to start wrestling again sometime around April.
Meltzer noted that Sydal has received interest from AEW, WWE, and IMPACT. Sydal’s last match was on December 16th for the ‘Championship Wrestling Association’ promotion. Meltzer went on to say “We’ll see what happens with him. I know he’s had offers from AEW. I know he’s had offers from WWE. I haven’t been told specifically that Impact wants him back, but I would think Impact would want him back because he’s good.”
