Despite rumors of The Revival requesting their WWE releases, the two had a prominent role on Monday Night RAW. The two appeared in a segment with none other than Vince McMahon, as they laid out the many reasons why they deserved a rematch for the WWE Tag Team Championships. They were granted such a match alongside a special guest referee in Curt Hawkins.

The took on the team of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable. Despite The Revival’s “no flips, just fists” mantra, Gable wound up doing an incredible flip to the outside thanks to an assist from his partner early on. A bit later on in the match, Roode had an incredible hot tag and upped the intensity. The Revival almost won the belt several times, but their cheating ways were caught by Hawkins every single time.

The end of the match finally came after Dawson was fighting with Curt Hawkins over the aforementioned broken tags. After the match, The Revival took out their frustration by destroying Hawkins. His former “Edgehead” Zack Ryder came down for the save and cleared the ring.
