Hideo Itami will get his chance at WWE gold at the Royal Rumble. He’s involved in a four-way or the WWE Cruiserweight Championship alongside champion Buddy Murphy, Akira Tozawa and Kalisto. One person that thinks he has a shot at winning is Daniel Bryan.
“Is Hideo Itami dangerous?” asked the WWE Champion. “Well, I can’t hear out of my left ear. See, Hideo Itami and I were fighting in Ring of Honor in 2006, and we got into a battle of strikes. A battle that I lost. A battle that ruptured my left eardrum. Shortly thereafter, not only could I not hear out of my left ear, I can’t go underwater. So, is he dangerous? Yes, he is.”
He then had a message for the WWE cruiserweight contender. “If I ever see Hideo Itami on SmackDown he’s going to get what’s coming to him.”
